She was such a gentle girl,
growing up only knowing paper and books,
but yet behind her innocent eyes,
lies the tears of years gone by.
She loved her brothers,
father and mother,
she disliked very little,
besides her solemn solitude.
Every night she prayed,
that a little light would come her way,
but she would only be answered,
by the tears that never left the darkness.
Then, finally it came to her,
a warmth never felt before,
and that day she packed
all of her belongings and said goodbye.
She tried moving into the city,
with cars and bikes buzzing by,
street lights frantically changing,
and buildings towering high.
She got a job,
but then was soon let go,
and she had no where else to be,
but she couldn't go home.
Once again her sleep was met with tear filled eyes.
